Even though I already have an excellent micro plane grater, the kind that's rectangular, I love this one because it fits right over a bowl, so I can for example rate my cheese right into my soup directly. I wanted a grater that grates very finely, and this one does a superb job. Read more

I really like this better than the stick microplane that bit the dust after 10 years of heavy use. I love how it fits over a bowl and the silicone ends keep it from walking away. The cover is a bit flimsy so I avoid washing the cover, and I put in the drawer at an angel as it does not fit well. But as someone who uses a grater daily, I love this. It's so much easier to handle then the stick I had before. I'm willing to rearrange my gadget drawer to fit I love it so much. Less chance of grating my fingers into my parm. 6 mos of dishwasher use daily and it's going strong. I've had cheep ones before and I won't go back. You Can't beat Microplane for quality. Easy clean up. Good on arthritic hands. Read more
