Grates parmesan easily and produces a good amount of grated cheese with each stroke. This is the second one I have had. The blade on the first one is still good after several years of use, but the plastic handle and frame repeatedly broke in various places, and I finally could not superglue it back together. Even so, I bought a second because the Microplane blade is the best grater blade I have ever used. I am giving this new one 4 stars because I do not know how durable the frame or handle will be after about 5 uses. Read more
All of the microplane products are great. But sometimes they will wear out or fail. This grater was a replacement for one that I'd had for seven or eight years. The rim or "holder" for the greater is plastic, and ultimately the plastic broke. So I bought a replacement. I more than got my money's worth out of the original and expect this one will last several years. Read more
