Bought these 15 years ago.....over time one breaks here and there. Bought replacements that were thin and light. These broke very easily and I was disappointed. Strong, beautiful, heavy bottomed glasses. These are not going to break from an accidental tip over, they are elegant and beautiful, and the solid base ensures stability of the glass. I love that they are glass and not plastic, I hate how plastic looks, feels and scratches. The large size ensures I can add lots of ice, a full soda, and a bit of rum without having to sacrifice a bit of my soda to make it all fit (let's be honest, I'm not sacrificing the amount of rum). I just wish there was another set of 4 with different patterns to match the first set. Love these! Read more

UPDATE 8/14/25 Sadly these glasses are too thin as stated by other reviewers. The glasses cracked when putting ice in them. Mikasa only offered a 30% discount on another product. Unacceptable. I will no longer purchase from Mikasa since they cant make good on defective products. They are classy, too. Some complain that they are too thin. I prefer my drinking glasses on the thin side. Update: sSince I received them, I know have two cracked glasses 😡 This is simply from putting ice in the glasses. Past the point to return them. Will call customer service(?) and see what options I have, if any. Now get two stars. Read more

Glasses came without a hitch! Only problem is they are filthy! Not from being used but from sitting in a warehouse somewhere, covered in a thick layer of dust and cardboard shavings. I love the design and weight of the glasses Very happy overall! Read more

I really like these glasses. They are a good size, a nice weigted bottom and I like the subtle etched designs, but they are delicate. One broke last night just from the ice dropping into it from my refridgerator door. I will now have ice drop into a plastic cup and then pour the ice from the plastic cup into the glasses. Go ahead and buy these glasses, but be careful dropping ice into them. Read more
