I'm a big fan of Mikasa dinnerware and trying out different drinking glass sets. These are very nice looking 18 oz capacity glasses with texture that matches our existing glasses. The clarity of the glass is crystal clear and good quality. However these are extremely thin and feel very brittle. My fear is they will easily break just from washing them. Although it hasn't happened yet, that is a huge concern. I have other expensive drinking glasses that have broke simply from using it to catch ice from our refrigerator ice dispenser and these glasses are much thinner, so I will definitely not be using these with our ice dispenser. I am also very sketchy about hand washing these because I am terrified of having them break while washing because I have cut my hands very badly and required stitches on broken drinking glasses before. This was poorly packaged. One came shattered in the packaging, so it wasn't packaged properly. But when the second one broke, I understood what was going on. This bumped into one of the other glasses without great force and sitting on a counter top. They both shattered. One burst. The other just dissolved. The final one was tipped over by the cat. Not onto the floor or anything, but tipped over on the counter and shattered. Very low quality glass. Lots of cleaning up to do. They didn't last at all. I only drink from glass or ceramics. I have glasses that have hit the floor and was not chipped or cracked and this can't handle being tipped sideways. What a mess. Read more

It's hard to find glassware that's modern, clean, elegant and also very sturdy. This glassware fits that description. The pattern is simple and beautiful but it feels nice in the hand and looks even better. The glass is thick enough that I'm not worried about it breaking over the slightest tap. They are not inexpensive, but I think they're worth the cost. I have the set of 4 but I'm considering buying another set just to ensure I have enough matching glasses for a dinner party.
