My friend has traveled Europe a couple times & she took regular curling iron from the US, even though she used an adapter or a plug-in for European plugs, her curling iron burned up every single time she was in Europe. So she was so tired of them burning up she waited till we got Europe bought one there. I bought this one and it worked fine in the plugs in Europe and then I can also use it in US when I travel. Small but amazing. I have been on a quest for great travel tools and this is amazing. I have long hair mid back and only take carry on when travel and there is little room for much. This littke curling iron is my dream come true. I tried it out and was amazed. The 1 inch is perfect for quick curls. I can also use it for quick flat iron work. It will take no room in my bag.
