I used the straightener part of this dual tool last night. It heat up very quickly and was hot enough to straighten my naturally curly hair without any issues. I used Kenra’s professional heat protectant beforehand since I have color treated, curly, AND frizzy hair. After straightening, my hair came out so smooth and soft! I also like that it has different temperature settings, so you can choose the corresponding temperature level based on your hair. Make sure to use heat-resistant gloves because no matter whether you use it as a straightener or a curler, you may come into contact with the hot body. It enables me to create excellent curls for my medium-length hair. If your hairstyle is short, it will better meet your needs. The build quality feels decent for a travel tool, it doesn't feel fragile, but it's lighter than a full size curling iron, which is what I wanted for portability. It heats up usually in under a minute and maintains a steady temperature throughout styling. While it doesn't have a ton of heat settings, the one it uses has worked well on my hair. I used it for full curls, and the results held well for couple hours. The barrel is on the smaller so it’s better suited for tighter curls.
