I actually did not receive this order. It purportedly was shipped and then disappeared into the amazon network so eventually I had to cancel. I do intend to reorder though. First, because I have one of these already, albeit from another source, and it works great and is quite handy. Secondly I suspect the shipping problem was "just one of those things" that happen now and then so not to excited about it and do not blame the product or the vendor. Placing a new order today. Update: I left it plugged in for a day and and it reconnected. Has been working fine since. I love the automation of the app ... i turn on a heater automatically when temp falls below set value. Worked ok for a week then it disconnected from wi-fi. I reconnected it but it keeps disconnecting. Sending it back. Read more

This mini smart plug has useful features when it works properly, but the inconsistent performance is frustrating. The compact size is nice and doesn't block adjacent outlets, and the initial setup with the Tuya app was straightforward. When the plug is working, the voice control with Alexa responds well and the timer function operates as expected for scheduling devices on and off. The remote control through the app is convenient when the connection is stable. However, the reason for only three stars is the unreliable connectivity - sometimes the plug works perfectly for days, then suddenly stops responding to voice commands or app controls without any clear reason. I've had instances where Alexa says the device is unresponsive, or the app shows the plug as offline even though my WiFi is working fine and other smart devices are connected. Power cycling the plug or my router sometimes fixes it, but other times it stays disconnected for hours before reconnecting on its own. This inconsistency makes it difficult to rely on for important devices or schedules. The plug has potential and the features are solid when functioning, but the unreliable connection makes it hard to recommend without reservation. I dont think it was worth the money. Read more

I have been using Tuya Smart Plugs for years! I couldn't do without them. They are super easy to install, work really well and receive a wifi signal quite a distance from the router. I am disabled and these are god-sends. Using Alexa, I can turn a light on/off from across the room. I use it for air purifiers, coffee pots, fans, just about everything. There is no hub needed. They do only run on 2Hz so make sure your router can support them. Read more

If you have a Tuya system you already know. They are great. I can turn my lights on outside before I get out there. Turn my heater on and let it warm my shop up.
