I've used it for a few weeks now. This isn't my first rodeo so I knew what to expect. Here's how it compares to the name brand. Good: It works like a 5% foam should. If you're new, you lose hair but it will grow back. This is normal. The can is lightweight but feels solid. Not easily knocked over. The nozzle is strong and not difficult to press even with my poor hand strength. The lid is resistant to removal but not ridiculous, which is ideal. I have broken the cheap plastic nozzle on a name brand can while trying to get the lid off before. The container is good quality. I did not have any problems when dispensing foam. Not good: Quite greasy compared to the brand. Start with clean hair and after one application it looks like you forgot to shower. I didn’t care for the foam formula at all. The next issue I had is extremely odd but it is honestly a big problem for me. My cat thinks it's delicious. As in, she tries to lick it off my head. Doesn't matter if it's been dry for hours. It is absolutely creepy to wake up to your cat eating your hair in the middle of the night. It can't be good for her and she has never done this with other brands or generics. I don't know what to make of it but I will be using a different product moving forward. Read more

I was specifically looking for a product to help with hair growth since I’ve been constantly dyeing my hair for the last few years. Since I’ve stopped bleaching, I noticed that I had a spot that was not regrowing. In a panic, I did some research on Google and found that minoxidil is one of the only ingredients that actively help hair growth. I take HSN vitamins (hair, skin, nail) as an added benefit and I’ve already seen some growth. While looking for minoxidil, I didn’t know that there was a mess free one aka the one in an aerosol can. It was super easy and convenient to use! Remember to thoroughly follow the instructions and not overdo it because it won’t make your hair grow faster just because you use more. I usually try to buy whichever foam version of the Minoxidil is the cheapest at the time I need a refill. I ran across this one and bought it at the time and I am almost done with it, and been very disappointed with the purchase. The first two cans had too much aerosol pressure in them, the first few times I used it the foam was literally shooting out of my hand all over the walls. The last two cans had too little pressure, the "foam" was more like a liquid and just trickled out of the can, and really made my hair (that I still have) just look really bad. This brand is very oily. I bought it because it was less expensive than the brand I was using, but it is very oily. I usually use the foam in the morning to style my hair, but this leaves it WAY too greasy. I’ll keep it and use it at night. Read more

The most important part is to after you have use it-is to wash your hands really really well.
