Customers say
Customers find the knife sharpener works extremely well, particularly with Miyabi chef knives, and appreciate that it's easier to use than a sharpening stone.

This is a must have for Miyabi knife owners/chefs that own miyabi knives in my opinion. The best way to sharpen a miyabi for beginners and people in a rush. Have used mine for quite a few years and still sharpens my knives extremely well. Read more
This sharpener has worked well for me. Just follow the instructions included with the sharpener and it should work fine for you as well. My Miyagi knife has kept an edge and works as well as it did when I first purchased it. No problems with the product at all to date. Read more

I ran my Miyabi and other Asian knives through this sharpener 5 times and they are as sharp as a barber's razor now, Excellent piece of kitchenware equipment. Thumbs up! Read more
Pro: Sharpens thin blade precision Japanese knives at correct degree Cons: Weak construction, very light, doesn't feel well made. My fine wheel kept popping out of it's plastic yolke - on the inside of unit. Chipped one of my good knives as one wheel was out of alignment when it arrived and blade inserted on metal top of sharpening wheel. This did somehow correct after I put a sturdier cheap knife in for a few spins. In my opinion it's a $8 sharpener with a $50 price tag. Unfortunately it's impossible to find another fast system to polish up your fine edges. Luckily most quality Japanese knives don't require frequent sharpening. I wish someone made a fast affordable touch up option. I loathe using the stones. Read more
This knife sharpener does sharpen some, but it came with no instructions, and it doesn't sharpen to any amazing degree. How many times are you supposed to run it through one side and then how many times through the other side? I have run my knives through 40 strokes on the coarser side, 40 on the finer side, and the knife is sharper, but not greatly so. Read more
