Really really like this hitch basket so far! I got it for my Kia Telluride and have used it for probably 3000 miles already. It carries a LOT of stuff and the included bag does seem to truly be waterproof and is HUGE. I often put two bouldering crash pads and a big inflatable paddleboard backpack plus an electric pump and life vest in the bag in the hitch basket. I can bring my whole family camping and bring a ton of bedding, tents, a canopy, my paddleboard, etc in the bag and hitch basket. Assembly could be done by one person and took maybe 20 minutes. I have not noticed any bolts loosening, but I do check them at least once per camping season. I don't use the anti-rattle attachment and don't hear any noise from the basket whatsoever. I really don't have any cons for the hitch basket. My only real con for the bag is that I really don't like the straps that came with the bag to secure the bag to the basket. They're awkward, hard to use, and loosen too easily. I grabbed a couple lashing straps from Auto Zone during my first trip and have been using those and just one of the original straps since. Also - be aware of how close the load in your hitch basket is to your exhaust pipe!!! I had something propped over the edge of the basket toward the hatch, and the exhaust burned through one of the straps. The bag was totally undamaged despite having bits of melted strap on one side that easily scraped off. That was my bad and now I prop things up over the edge going away from the hatch. I purchased this carrier for a trip from Massachusetts to NC, then to Orlando. I needed the carrier on the NC to Orlando leg, so I had Amazon deliver to NC. It arrived four days before my arrival. The box was somewhat damaged, re-taped, and upon my brother opening, he discovered that it had already been opened and missing parts. There was still a return slip in the box from when it had been sent back by another customer. Amazon sent a new product, but it may not have arrived before I needed it, and I would have had to figure out how to return it between all of the driving I had to do. Without asking, Mockins customer service emailed me to call them. They were very apologetic and tried their best to get me replacement parts asap. They refunded me the entire cost of the item and told me not to return it, and to keep and use the replacement if it arrived in time. The replacement arrived just hours before me, and after a 2 hr. Nap, I assembled and installed the replacement and we were back on the road with my mother’s wheelchair and walker safely strapped to the carrier. The carrier was easy to assemble (not using the supplied wrench - its pretty useless) and attach to the receiver. I like the supplied U bracket to keep it secure. It is fairly sturdy, although some of the welds seem questionable to me, but were not an issue. I did not use the locking hitch pin only because of a previous issue with that type, I stayed with my standard pin. I used the carrier to load a wheelchair and walker using Rhino ratchet straps, and it worked perfectly. The carrier was easy to fold up and is pretty solid in that position. Overall this product served my needs, and worked as advertised. I was very impressed with the level of customer service I received from the manufacturer, and appreciate their quick resolution. I would feel confident that I anyone had an issue with this product, they would be responsive. Shame on Amazon though for sending a returned item as new. Read more

I bought this for our two e trikes that we recently bought to take camping and the cargo carrier could b not have worked out better . they both fit on not perfectly . I did buy some rings to make it easier to strap them down .But the carrier worked out very well hand it folds up out not the way haven not in use .
