This is a good, high-quality play mat that has been a wonderful space for our baby's early development. The materials are nice, the toys are engaging, and it's clear that it's a well-made product. However, I do think parents should be aware of the practical age range for this specific mat. For young infants, this is a fantastic activity gym. It is a good mat for tummy time, providing a comfortable and clean area for them to strengthen their muscles. For on-their-back time, the hanging toys are perfectly placed for them to look at and eventually bat at, which is great for their sensory development. The mat itself is nice, soft, and feels like it's made from good quality materials. My main feedback, just in my opinion, is that the advertised age tag of 0-12 months is a bit iffy. The mat's footprint is on the smaller side, which is perfectly fine for a newborn who stays relatively in one place. However, it's a different story for older babies. Especially for infants in the 8-12 month old range who are usually moving a little more, this mat is just too small. As soon as they start to roll with purpose, shuffle, and scoot, they will be off this mat constantly. Overall, I would highly recommend this as a premium play gym for the 0-6 month, and maybe up to 8-month, stage. The quality is excellent. Just be aware that due to its size, you likely will not get the full 12 months of use out of it as a primary play space once your baby becomes more mobile. Read more

This item right out of the package is very soft and durable. The quality and feel of the fabrics and stitching were really impressive. Sizing of the mat is just right for protection when there is a lot of moving around. It has decent padding and the colors are not too overwhelming. The arches that go over the top are at a good height. The toys that hang are super soft and really cute. A variety of sensory toys are all along the edges of the mat with all sorts of things to keep busy with and figure out. I wasn't expecting that from the pictures and it was a nice surprise. The way the item is designed makes it easy to put together, add and remove toys and to take apart to clean, wash, or store. When I got this Montessori Baby Play Gym & Activity Mat, it came in a brown box with the title on the outside of the box. Once opened. everything was sealed up in a plastic bag – included were the play mat itself, attachments, a manual, etc. I have to say though, this play mat was very well thought out, with the inquisitive baby brain and development – in mind. It has different areas that can make noises, many different colors, different textures to touch and feel, and many different sensory attachments, that are sure to get your baby engaged in learning and expanding their neuro development. Another great thing is that this play mat can grow with your baby through laying and pulling on toys, tummy time, rolling over, and sitting up. It’s also light weight and seems to be easy to clean – if needed. The designer of this play mat, really did a great job in planning this out perfectly and the flow is great as well. This Montessori baby play gym is comes easy to put together. The mat is a satin-like material on the side that baby is on, and the backing has little rubber dots to prevent the mat from slipping. The mobile arms are soft padding wrapped in the same satin-like material. These arms have plastic clips that attach the arms to the bottom of the mat. Once the arms are installed, you can clip the toys such as the fabric book with the crinkle sounds, the lion rattle, the owl with the squeaker inside, the mirror, or the hedgehog so they hang down like a mobile. This lets baby see and touch the toys. The mat itself has many different fabric textures and sounds. It also has a clear plastic window, and a teething ring. I like that this mat has plenty of textures, colors, and sounds for baby to explore. I like that it is machine washable and has child safety certifications. I wish it had a little more padding for use on hardwoods. I also wish it came with a carrying case as keeping all these parts in a diaper bag does not seem practical. Read more
