This is a very practical but nice mattress cover!. I have a Ashley brand 18" mattress. This cover fits nice and snug. It's not tight but it isn't loose either. The main reason for getting one that zips is due to my mattress being a cooling one that is Slippery. I have used straps to keep the sheet in place and that just becomes a nightmare. I tried one other zipped cover that was also Slippery and too big. This one has a thin terry cloth type top. The sheet does not slip at all...not even a little. The zipper has a velcro cover that goes over the pull amd the pull goes all the way into the velcro cover for more security. I have shown this in the pics. I also show me tugging on thr corner to show how much give is in thr cover on my size mattress. I had to pull it to do this. I want to buy more for my other mattresses one of which is like 10". Not sure if it will work for that. I may need a smaller one. I have a tempurpedic 12" I think it may work for that. I will update whatever I do. I would recommend this for anyone having my issue. I was determined to find a cover that would actually last and I spent more time than I would like to admit researching the best option. Well, this is it! This mattress cover not only does not make noise, fits the mattress well, and is soft but also has a zipper that covers the entire mattress! Let me just beg you not to spend your hard-earned money on the cheap plastic covers that slip off, feel like you are sleeping on a plastic bag, and break within months if not weeks! Trust me spend a few more bucks now and you won't spend double later. I have not spilled anything yet, so I can not attest to that, but this checked off all my other boxes.
