These clippers are made in a commonly made style. I used that style for many years, until they fell apart! However, mine were dull and so small and slippery that with aging, I had trouble holding onto them. 😟 However, Mr Green Nail Clippers are very well made of a very good steel and the cutting surfaces are extremely sharp. (Seriously, be very careful or you’ll cut something you didn’t plan to cut! 😢) However, the unique hole in the handle meant I never had a problem with them slipping in my hand. 😁 My only issue with them is the length of the blades. The handles are much longer, too; I actually wanted a set with longer handles, but I didn’t expect the blades to be so much larger. For now, I will continue to try using them; hopefully I will adjust to their size. 🙃 (Note: they aren’t large enough for my toenails.) I still think they were worth the price I paid, and recommend this company’s clippers. However, be aware that these clippers, while extremely well made, are made larger proportionately. These clippers, you have to be careful of how close you get cause you can cut yourself easily. Once you learn how to use some day work really well morning do not get too close to your finger. It won’t cut your skin. It will make you bleed other than that. Be careful they work excellent. Read more

Fingernail clippers are about as exciting as watching paint dry. That said, these are really cool. $15+ for fingernail clippers seemed outrageous to me. But, after they arrived and I clipped all my nail parts, I ordered another Mr. Green clipper and an ear pick. So first a little caution. I hadn't ever used a clipper that opens as wide as these and I found more care needs to be taken than just shoving my nails between the jaws and depressing the handle. Too far in and one could cut oneself and it will hurt. That lesson learned, these are incredibly sharp and cut my nails with beautiful edges. I'm really happy I spent the money and got these. They open wide, they cut better than any pair of nail clippers I've ever owned they are very well made and I look forward to growing more nails to clip them with these. Wonderful. Read more

The clipper had very good reviews, but I knew right away that it was not for me when it arrived. It has a small piece of metal that flips down to allow theclippers to take up less space with travel and then you flip the metal back into place to use the clippers. The hinge on the piece of metal is so loose that it flips back-and-forth on its own and must be constantly flipped back to use the clippers. This makes it a pain to use. Also, the clippers do open very wide, which is great if you have thick toenails, but can make it dangerous because it allows it to go derped risking clipping the quick easily. You have to be very careful with these clippers. I decided to go with a more traditional design that is more user-friendly and safer. Read more
