MUXXN Womens 1950s Vintage V Neck Ruched Sheath Formal Pencil Dress

It is always iffy to order clothes online. I ordered this dress for a wedding and I gave myself enough time to be able to return it if I didn't like it. Didn't need to though because I loved it! Extremely comfortable, stretchy material, and sturdy. It was thick enough that it did not feel as if it would not be able to handle a night of dancing. I am a 36 C bust, so not huge, but it fit my bust perfectly. I have a little mom pooch but with a good pair of Spanx and the stretchy material, it looked great. It is a slim, snug fit so looks great on curves. It hit just below the knee on me (I'm 5'4, 135 lb) which was perfect because it looked sexy but not too short for the event. The pleats on the bust and the stomach can be a little awkward but if you steam the dress before wearing it, it will ensure the pleats are all folding the same way, which is very flattering. This is a beautiful navy blue color. I can't wait to order this same dress in another color. I paired it with a pair of strappy navy blue heels I found on Amazon and the whole outfit looked perfect. The suggested size is too big. Material is stretchy and a small might have been better. The hip is too loose. The gathering at the waist caused a pooch with the loose hip area. The top would not lay right even though my bust is DD. It’s very pretty but just wouldn’t fit correctly. I think it just needs to be tight. At 53, I’m not looking for tight. Returning. Read more

UPDATE: After owning this for a few years, I'm ordering it in Red. I had a friend ask me about the dress last night, and said "that blue dress you wore last year was so great on you! " So I decided to order another one. A few of these dresses should be staples in your wardrobe. |||. I ordered a medium. I am 5'4", around 138lbs. It was a snug fit, but it's supposed to be a body-con dress, so it was great. The fabric is wonderful, and has some stretch. The blue color I ordered was like a pretty navy blue, but maybe a bit lighter. The dress hit just below my knee, giving it a vintage style! The only thing that I didn't like, and lost a star, was the underarm/sleeve area. If you are self-conscious about armpit cleavage, for lack of a better word, the dress may not be a good choice. They really should've designed it better, without a big gap beneath the arm. I'm hoping the rest of the dress looks so great that no one notices my squishy upper arm. :) But seriously, love this dress! Read more
