This is my second MyWeigh scale (the other is the KD8000 (1 g accuracy). I tested it with small calibration weights and it was 100% accurate right out of the box. It is a tiny bit slower to respond than the KD8000, but that is not a big deal and might just be the case for all scales of this level of accuracy (0.1 g). I would give this scale 5 stars, however... the only thing I don't like about it is that there is an annoying beep every time you press any switch, and there is no switch or software method to turn off the beep. The solution I found was to turn the unit over and place the sides on rails so you are not putting any pressure on the transducer; remove the four screws from the bottom, open the unit; put a few drops of super glue in the opening of the beeper; put a small piece of electric tape over the hole to make sure no glue drips out; and put it back together. Once the glue dried, there was no beep! IN SUM: a great scale if you don't mind the beep or are willing to take the unit apart and put glue in the beeper. Read more

This scale is very accurate, out of the box. All of the calibration weights I tested (1g, 2g, 5g, 10g, 20g and 2000g) were accurate prior to being calibrated with 2000g as recommended. Although the price isn’t cheap, it is certainly affordable for such dependability. Read more

I'm a soapmaker, and I replaced an older My Weigh scale with this one. It is probably more precise than most soapmakers would need--a tenth of a gram can be a little crazy-making, when it comes to precision. It has a bubble level, which is handy. Works with either a power supply (recommended for soapmaking) or batteries. Read more
