My dear reader, your humble reviewer had a bit of a scare back in October of 2025. He looked at his left big toe and saw what looked like a second nail pushing out the top nail. Images of conjoined twins, aliens, and witchcraft were going through your reviewer's mind. So he did what most gentlemen would do. Visit the podiatrists. The medical pro took one look at the toe and said, "you must have injured your nail, because another one is growing and pushing it out." Man, was your friend relieved! Relieved it was not fungus or alien replicators afflicting his toe. The Podiatrist pulled out what looked like pliers and trimmed the nail. Now, the patient was very impressed with the quality of the tool employed. Sure, the Podiatrist was a muscular fellow but the ease with which the tool clipped the nails was impressive. After some research, with the help of AI, I found the Blizzard product that I am reviewing today. I have been using this product since October. In other words, I have used it three times. It trims much easier than the traditional nail clippers that I have used for the better part of 50 years! The quality of the tool is very good. It feels like a pair of pliers, which is more manly than your traditional nail trimmer. And maybe for that alone you should consider making the purchase! No, just kidding. Listen, if you're happy with the inexpensive nail trimmers, stick with it. This tool from Blizzard is not cheap. But if your nails are tough then you would benefit from this. The leverage is better. If your grip ain't what it used to be. You know who you are. Get these to trim those stubborn ingrown nails. They come in different shapes. Most would probably prefer the concave blade. I bought the straight blade because this is my first rodeo at this method of trimming and the straight blade seemed the most versatile. Or the choice where there is the least chances of going wrong. It is working great so far. You cannot go wrong with the quality and the feel of the this tool. That being said, I am not sure if the Podiatrist used this same brand. As a professional, he probably has access to medical devices supplier. Whereas for the non-pro like your friend here, Amazon is the best choice. Highly recommended if you have ingrown nails (I do not) or you want a more precise way to trim your nails. Read more

These are extremely well made old fashioned toenail clippers. Worth the money! I tried the sharp, curved - you know, the new style clippers- and kept taking chunks of my toes out with the back end of the clippers. Not noticing the back of the super sharp part while trying to clip a toe nail. After endless bandaids and pain, I paid the price of these. Faster. Just as sharp. Easier to use. No more cuts. The blades are so dull they ruin a nicely manufactured item. The blades sharpness are the problem. Dull and lacking any "tooth" that grips into the nail you are trimming. Even with additional honing with a small diamond file the blades disappoint. They crush they crush the nail instead of clip. Out of the box they were a disappointment. After additional honing they still disappoint. It appears the geometry of the original grind is off. I have clippers ten years old with sharper blades than this - and they grip the nail instead of rolling off a thick toe nail. Pity. The construction is very solid and would rate much better if only the blades were sharp and could grip a thick toenail. An example of precision construction without delivering on the primary objective - cutting a toe nail with ease and precision. Read more

Looked promising and overall build quality is superior to some other similar clippers but that’s where it ends. On the most important aspect it is an epic fail. The blades aren’t nearly as sharp as other 2 dollar clippers and the blades don’t even close properly (see photo). I got a second one as I thought perhaps the first is just a defect, but it had the identical issue. It’s a design flaw and not just a one off defect. Read more
