Good value, better than other similar barista style blends. Definitely exactly that though, a barista blend for mixed lattes etc. The powder doesn’t blend quite as well as ceremonial blend matchas, and the aroma is less sweet/the color isn’t as vibrant etc. It is definitely at the advertised quality, not trying to be ceremonial but also more drinkable than culinary matcha. This blend is great for matcha lattes. Not bitter at all, the flavor is very similar to the higher quality blends but the price is more affordable. It’s very smooth and blends easily. I make protein lattes with collagen powder and almond milk after my workouts and it’s perfect. I’ve been drinking matcha for yeaaars before the sudden craze! I’m no expert but I’ve learned a lot of info from other experts spreading awareness especially now that suppliers can’t catch up to the demand. It’s simple, if you drink matcha with any milk, I suggest don’t go for true ceremonial grades! (Plus a lot of brands just use the ceremonial grade term for marketing, so if you’re not familiar w/ the ceremonial standard, steer away for now) Barista blends like this are your way to go! Naoki’s blend is more smooth & floral yet when you add milk and sweetener you can taste a good amount of intensity in the bitterness. It also doesn’t have much astringency which is a plus! A few vegetal & earthy notes. It doesn’t leave a dry and powdery aftertaste. For 100g of this good quality, I think it saves a few bucks.
