I had terrible random neck pain multiple times a week and this is the only pillow I've actually liked and helped me, it keeps my head in the center if I'm sleeping on my back and supports my head in a nice straight position if I'm sleeping on my side, the other cervical or neck pain pillows I've tried are way too firm or a bad height and caused more neck pain, it's very rare I have neck strain now and the pillow has helped me so much. I'm not sure how washing would effect them though since pillows can get lumpy, I just always have a water proof zip cover for it and another normal pillowcase over that and it looks brand new. This is a very well-made pillow. Nothing wrong from that standpoint. I have the Nature's Guest bolster pillow and it is one of my favorite pillows. In fact, I own a couple of the bolster pillows. As I age, I find I become a little like the princess and the pea, or maybe Goldilocks, in that everything pillow-related has to be "just right" and I actually use multiple pillows to sleep. I do need the cervical support as I am a side sleeper, and this one has adjustable cervical support and even comes with additional "fluff", but I can't get the cervical section high enough for my requirements. Accordingly, if you need a fairly high cervical support, perhaps another pillow may be better (try their cervical bolster pillow and combine with a flatter (stomach sleeper) regular bed pillow if necessary). However, if you need a pillow which is not quite as high, then this one should be great given the adjustability and indented middle section along with the quality of the pillow itself. Read more
I have bought so many pillows trying to find the right one. I'm a side sleeper and also have neck issues, I've even bought a new mattress and a different pillow hoping to alleviate the condition to no avail until I bought THIS pillow. I love that it's adjustable (it took a few nights to get the perfect amount of stuffing tailored for me). However, once I did I am sleeping so much better and feeling better and standing so much straighter and NOT waking up with a head/neck ache. I have to say I have spent up to 3 times the amount on other pillows, that didn't help. Also knowing I can add more stuffing later if needed should help me not have to buy another pillow for a long time... Thank you everyone for the great reviews that helped me make this buying decision. And thank you to the manufacturers of this pillow. What an innovative idea to be able to adjust the pillow as needed! Read more
I hope some people find comfort from this pillow, but for me it was a one-star experience in terms of sleep comfort. Ended up giving me headaches. I did remove a bunch of the stuffing from under the part where my neck lay, or the cervical area. Tried it for a few months, but finally gave up. Was waking up regularly with a dull headache and figured out I think it's this pillow. Meanwhile, I am glad I bought the two pillows, because I have two cats and they won't have to fight over them--they do make awesome cat beds! That's why the 3-star instead of 1-star rating. : ) Read more
I ordered this pillow for a couple reasons: 1. Contoured and adjustable filling! Most pillows are too fluffy and thick for me. And the flimsy flat ones are usually just…meh. I’m a lifelong stomach sleeper who is trying to convert to side and back sleeping due to some spinal issues and just knowing stomach sleeping isn’t the best. I’m small, so many pillows make my chin touch my chest if I sleep on my back. Lemme tell ya, as a nurse who works with sedated patients, that’s the worst position for an open airway! Head tilted slightly back = open airway & no/less airway obstruction (for most healthy people anyways—some people will obstruct anyways for various reasons.). An open airway means less snoring, better oxygenation and hopefully, better sleep. I digress. Anyway, finding a pillow that has the dip in the middle and adjustable filling is just *chef’s kiss* 2. Not memory foam. This has the typical cotton-ish fill, which I prefer. Memory foam feels good at first but once it compresses, it feels to hard on my head/ears and I wake up in pain. Maybe I’m a Goldilocks, but it is what it is. This pillow is soft and smushy the way I like pillows to be. I’ve slept on this for a couple weeks now. I tried it the first night without adjusting the filling at all. Hated it. Too full. Threw it on the floor in the first 30 minutes. The next day I removed some of the filling all around. It was better and slept that way for a week. Ultimately it was still too full so I removed even more filling. Eureka. It’s perfect. Definitely recommend. Read more
