First off, the material here has a texture more like cotton and not the silky feeling of latext compression shorts you might find with Nike and/or Under Armor. I have a couple of pairs of Nike & UA compression shorts but needed another pair for those busy weeks where I can't keep a pair freshly washed. I don't *need* another enough to want to spend another $30 so I thought I'd give these a try. So far, I'm very satisfied. As others have mentioned, they do fit more snugly through the "midsection", but the waist/thigh fit was as expected. I've found them comfortable despite the fit running a touch snugger than I usually wear. I also have found I can wear these comfortably for much longer than the Nike/UA material and I'll likely be back for more as they functionally do exactly what I'd like them to do, and I may not have a desire to replace my others when the time comes. Let me tell you a story about my underwear. I like spandex-type compression shorts. I think they are the superior underwear. No problems with bunching, easier to tuck a shirt in, if that's something you have to do. Works well with all sorts of pants, even tighter dress pants. Keeps your wobbly bits in place. Just a very versatile article of very important clothing. I previously wore Under Armour shorts, and they were nice, but they seemed to wear out quite quickly. I brought these Neleus shorts on a whim, something like 30 dollars for three pair. Time went on. They were nice shorts. I wore them every day under every kind of pants. I attended weddings in them, worked three different jobs with three very different styles of dress and exceptionally different levels of physical activity. I very rarely re-wear underwear without washing them. Generally just if I wore them around the house for a few hours the previous day. They got washed a lot. I noticed the other day that they were getting a tiny bit thin, so I decided to order more. I looked back in my amazon order history trying to find them. ....and I looked back farther..... ..........and farther..... Five. Years. The last time I bought underwear was five. Years. Ago. These three pairs of Neleus shorts lasted me five years of wearing, sweating, running, climbing, washing. First I only give honest reviews, I ordered 12 pairs of these, to replace my current well worn compression undergarments, they fit great and are very comfortable! I doubt my recommendation will make it to those who need to hear this but the 1 and only complaint or suggestion is use better waist band material, as it tends to not hold them in the best wearing position, like my previous brand.
