I originally bought these in the summer to hike in. They are great hiking shorts, just thick enough and just tight enough for adequate coverage and a little compression, test flexible enough for freedom of movement climbing hills and climbing over rocks and downed trees. I hikes I can wear them as shorts, but they’re as comfortable as wearing nothing but boxer briefs, nice and cool and relaxed yet plenty of support for my legs and hips. In cooler weather I find them great to wear under as underwear on walks, they help keep me warm on cooler evenings. They’re also great to wear around the house, the pocket keeps my phone handy. I recommend sizing down. I’m a men’s 32” waist and found the Medium too loose. The Small fits great, but the material is quite thin. Works well under shorts or with something underneath to avoid it being see-through. Read more

These are extremely comfortable compression shorts. I like how high they ride on my stomach (they don't feel as though they'll slip off because they ride so low). I also like the leg length. They're long enough so they don't slowly creep up my thighs. They're a little bit thinner than I would like, but they're comparable to other compression shorts I've seen in sporting goods stores. I have had some of these for a couple of weeks and I like them. Comfortable underwear are so very hard to find. I have been using these as undergarments under jeans or shorts and sleeping in them. I also like the fact that they are technically not underwear, so I have used them when going outside to take out the trash. I am also thinking they would be in a pinch great to swim in. I was once stuck in Minneapolis because of flights cancelled due to ice. The airline put me up in a hotel with an indoor pool, but I had nothing proper to use the pool in, so I wore normal cotton shorts, which was not great. With these I would not have that problem. The would also be functional under the kind of boardshorts I used to wear when surfing. Lastly, these are compression shorts, and I don't like that kind of tightness, so I have ordered some of these in at least one size bigger than normal stuff, with some two sizes bigger. With the drawstrings, this should never be a problem. Only thing I am worried about is durability, which with some made in China stuff Amazon sells has been a major problem for me. Read more
