I have had two dogs that LOVE this toy. The first one came with the dog, so I had to search for a new one when that dog, and her toy went to her new home. This toy lasts for years, unless you throw it over your fence and the neighbors won't give it back. The squeaker lasts for many months of aggressive chewing. It's the perfect size for a large dog. My medium sized poodle can get it in her mouth but it takes some work. It's easy to throw, the dogs can catch it, or chase it or squeak it for as long as you can stand it. The squeaker is loud, so it's definitely and outside toy, and not too early unless the neighbors are cool with it. I have purchased three of these, but not because they have worn out. I either lost it or sent it as a gift. This has hands down been our favorite toy. Read more

The media could not be loaded. So I gave it four stars for a couple reasons. If you’ve bought the old nerf footballs you’ll know this one is not like the old ones. I had a hard time determining that when buying it. But it was the only one online similar. It’s fairly large so if your dog isn’t large I don’t see how they can hold it in their mouth. It’s softer than the old ones so not as durable. The squeaker is louder and seems to last longer. Now all that being said, my 130lb dog is obsessed with it. The squeak is almost too much at times but boy does he love it! Because he’s so big it fits in his mouth. He’s got one corner off already but it didn’t inflate or anything. I put a comparison of the old with the new to see the size difference. It’s a win for him, which means for us too. Read more

Jake, my Labrador, goes through balls at a rate of one a week, or if I'm lucky, one a month. Not so with this strong, durable ball. Our first ball of this type lasted for a whopping 5 months! You see, balls lose their appeal to my picky dog once the squeaker has been lost or destroyed. This ball held up with fierce tugging between two large dogs, hours of pouncing, more hours of chewing, and intense retrieving for 5 MONTHS!! That's unheard of in this house. My dog loves this ball so much, that I have to lock it away or he becomes obsessed with it. It has many different noises, typical of nerf balls, which he finds irresistible. The media could not be loaded. This is hands down my dogs favorite toy. We’ve bought 4 by now because some times the squeaker stops working and that is the “best” part. It is the loudest squeaker you’ll ever hear - so loud that my dog loves to howl with the squeaker and starts squeaking it just to sing. If you have a chewer like mine, this will not last more than 10 minutes. It is not durable as written in the description. I had bought a nerf dog football many years ago for a 1 yr old pup. She didn't play with it. I adopted a shelter dog recently and he played with that football for months before he ripped it up. I was looking for a replacement and thought this one would be as durable.
