Works well and lasts longer than I play with my pup each night before bed. I have not timed it. I also have not tested how long it keeps a charge but I have not run out of charge using it almost every night and just charging it randomly. Read more

Nice ball. Fun to play with. It feel indestructible. I get the sense I will have this for a very long time. It seems to cycle through colors on its own once activated, hits something. Nite Ize just can't get this figured out. This ball is by far my dogs favorite ball. We play ball daily, and when we don't get in a ball session during the day, we pull one of these out after dark. The problem persists even on the new rechargeable design. They just don't last. With the old battery operated version we just knew we would spend the 25 or so dollars each month to purchase a new one as the light mechanism would fail. When they updated to the rechargeable version I was ecstatic to try it. I bought one and it lasted an entire month before we lost it over a fence. I purchased a replacement thinking that Nite Ize finally figured out the design. I was wrong, this one lasted for about 6 or 7 evenings of ball fetching and stopped working. It’s my dogs favorite ball, hands down. I lost her first one over a fence and ordered a cheaper knockoff… that was not acceptable to her, and it exploded as soon as I threw it. This ball lasts forever and works amazing. It’s just bouncy enough, but not TOO bouncy. I’ve seen other reviews complaining about heavy chewers ruining the ball… this is NOT a stress ball or a chew toy. It’s for fetch and isn’t designed to be chewed on like a bone. If you let your dog keep it as a chew toy, that’s your fault. If you play with it as intended, it’ll last you forever. Read more
