I bought this to mount in my vehicle and use with my phone that has the Steelie magnet. After showing it to my wife she procured it for herself to use to hold her phone inside the house when she is face timing. Guess I will have to order another one for myself. It offers a lot of flexibility in mounting options and holds to most non porous surfaces well. If the suction cup holds up it should last for a very long time. Shop prices for the best deal. This thing is worth the money! I have an otter box defender of my s7 active and holds it with no problem. Steelie is expensive, but worth the cash. This trucker is happy with his purchase. I have the regular dash mount, the vent mount, and now the suction cup mount. One mount for all parts of my truck! Last thing, this mount is made of aluminum I believe, I was expecting that plastic material. In other words, it's made to last! Update, this is a must have for any driver. I had my doubts about this mount, having been disappointed with wimpy configurations and lame suction cups with other mounts. Not this one. The suction cup welds itself to the windshied and the mount is infinately adjustable and then locks with a death grip on your phone. This is by far the very best mount I’ve ever had the pleasure of using. This is a serious mount and does an incredible job. If you need a realllly good mount, just get it. You won’t be sorry!! So far I’ve been very happy with my several Nite Ize purchases. Their magnets are strong and they have become our decide-once for phone mounting devices. Our phones have been nice and secure thanks to these products. The phone case itself obviously makes a difference in how well this product can work so make sure you’re using something compatible (I recently bought a heavier duty phone case not designed for magnet use and I’m probably going to buy a different phone case because I like the Nite Ize products better than any others that we have tried). This particular product is an extra for us, used when needed for my spouse’s delivery work. Most of their products that we use adhere to the dashboard. This one we attach to the window, which isn’t our favorite because it does impede the view a bit. But it’s easy to install and easy to use! Read more
