Just installed the Novete filter to replace a 2-stage filter. It was a compromise to get better flow. The water flow for the 2-stage was extremely low. Hopefully the Novete is as good of a filter as they say it is ... maybe I'll cut it open once I need to replace it. Used the existing 1/4" tubing. Ran water through for a few minutes to flush the new filter until it flowed clear consistently. Oddly, the water still comes out cloudy for a split second so maybe turn on the faucet to check before fillng your mug/bottle. How frequently you replace the filter will depend on how often you use it and the source water quality. I added a 5/16" shim (scrap wood) to the back of the bracket so that the filter would mount upright instead of the bottom leaning into the side of the cabinet ... maybe Novete will improve their design. We replaced a really expensive filter system from our new home with this, and we are very pleased. It took us a minute to sort out the connections—with our system you just insert the tube directly into the OUT side of the filter to the sink faucet (no adapter needed), so this is more versatile than the photos show. I will give this a 4 star because it is kind of confusing to hook up if I did not know what I was doing I would have been completely lost as to what to do. I did have a more complicated setup because I was hooking up an I've maker and a fridge to this unit. The adapter it comes with relies on you having only one size hose to the sink and fridge. If they would include one more adapter it would be a great product and have better written instructions. Also not sure where I will be able to find new cartridges when this one need to be replaced. Maybe the saller or manufacture could assist with this. Read more

Bought this believing it had a 3yr life cycle as it states. Upon install of filter it has a replace after 12 months statement printed on it. Also the wall bracket doesn’t make filter sit flush to mounting surface which is odd. Read more

It took me a while to find the correct compression fitting reducers to be able to install this filter assembly on my refrigerator, but finally a done deal! No leaks, and works as advertised. After bleeding the system in what seemed forever, filtered water made its way through and a big taste in difference. This good capacity filter assembly should last a long time. Read more
