These actually seem to increase the quality of my first half of sleep. Taking B1 along side, seems to decrease the likelyhood in a spike of too vivid of dreams. Definitely consider a healthy B1 supplement if Melatonin increases your overly active dreams. Also, consider taking this at least 8 hr before you want to wake up to reduce chance Brain fog. Read more

My client swears by these. They are of a low dosage and safe for him to be in charge of, therefore increasing his feeling of being in charge of his personal care. This is very important in home care and sometimes difficult to implement. So many day to day tasks require dispensing and restraint. This is not a freely given in vast quantities medication by any means. But more an easy going, inspires relaxation, user friendly sleep aid. I know nothing of its vitamin content. my vet recommended 3 mg melatonin to help with my 30# senior dog's "sundowners" symptoms. she was asking to go outside many many times within a short time at night once we were getting ready for be. she'd go out without any bathroom use. she'd just go out and walk around and return, then seconds later ask to go out again... and again... and again. this has helped tremendously without any negative consequences or reactions to the supplement. i chose this one because of the limited ingredients. i just open the capsule and sprinkle into her food a couple of hours before bedtime. now instead of asking to go out 33 times in 30 minutes, she only asks a couple of times! with the dr's approval i increased to 4.5 mgs/pm. i started at 3mg and it was a huge improvement. at 4.5 mgs it has made her requests to go out only a couple of times, if that. poor sweet baby. i'm very happy that this has helped reduce what was triggering that behavior, anxiety, cognitive decline, decreased melatonin...
