I have owned several pairs of these Papaku Ilis. I wear them everyday outside working on a golf course. They are simply the best imo. Incredibly comfortable (like honestly some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn), stylish, water proof and they don't fall apart because of glue...unlike the popular name brand hiking shoes/boots. The only reason I buy new pairs of them is because of the aesthetics. I need to look professional, and working outside they get dirty, blue dye on them etc. I keep my old pair when I get a new pair, and save them for any grunt/dirty work around the house such as landscaping etc. They are well worth the money, also considering those name brand hiking shoes (priced similarly) will literally fall apart after 2-3 months of daily use. You could also wear these when you dress nice, as they look great! Seriously if you're thinking about getting these, do it. You'll love them. Overall, I really like these boots. So much so, that I bought another pair in black. The boots are a bit heavier than I expected and do take some time to break in. However, once they fit my foot they were very comfortable and provide great support on my way to and from work with a loaded backpack. And they seem well made, with a wider toe box that accommodates my wide feet. One minor nit from my perspective is that these boots are not smooth leather, but a Nubuck leather which I only saw briefly noted on the page. So cleaning and maintaining them is different than smooth leathers. Otherwise, I'm happy with both pairs. Read more
