My 5 year old son broke his wrist and was put in a brace similar to this. We decided he needed a second one to use in case the original got wet or sweaty or smelly or dirty. It just so happens that all of those things happen to 5 year old boys on the daily. I haven't looked at my bill from urgent care but I'm pretty sure they charged me an arm and a leg for the one they gave him. This was is a perfect substitute. I was originally given an XXS and we purchased the XS in this brand it fits and works just the same as the hospital issued one. Something I was confused about when ordering was if this had a sleeve to put your wrist through and it does. The brace works whether you use the attached sleeve or not but my son wanted the sleeve because it was exactly like the one the doctor gave him. (First born, rule follower.) Read more

My daughter fell off thr monkey bar and was diagnosed with a buckle fracture. She was given a removal brace that is identical to this one. We bought an extra one as recommended by the orthopedic peditrician so she can go in the pool (only "physical" activity she was allowed to do for 4 weeks) and even not meant to get wet it is still holding really good.
