Works great on my husbands older Iphone 8 that he uses to play his games during his work downtime. He works in manufacturing and it is worth it to protect his iphone. Cases like the Defender model Otter case for newer iphones are running $60 in Walmart, so this was a good value at this price. I would not have paid more for a case for an older model since he only uses this for games and some apps on home wifi. $25 was the max I would have paid but the Defender is a very sturdy protective case. Really great quality and protection. Lasted after many many many accidental drops. But there’s so many drops it can take. As long as you don’t take your frustrations out on your phone, you’ll be good. It’ll last quite a long time. I didn’t use a glass protector underneath but I will next time. Typical Otterbox offers good edge and face protection. Fits my iPhone 8s very well. The holster and belt clip doubles as a nice stand. Few minor issues however. The capacitative touchscreen plastic is nice though I wish it would have fitted little tighter to the surface of the phone. Therefore, it will leave a thin gap so you need to press down a bit more in order to register your key presses. You will get more of a tapping sound. Second thing is that the plastic covering the home button is not great at all. At some point it will stop registering any biometrics and prove to be more of a nuisance. I ended up just cutting a perfect hole around the home button. Lastly, your volume and lock button presses will also need to be a bit harder. This is expected. Read more

I have a 15 year old son, so I needed a case that would protect his phone from the drops, kicks, tosses, etc that my 15 year old puts his phone through. I also needed one that he wouldn't roll his eyes when he saw it, and I found it with this case. You can never go wrong with otterboxes, I have used them on my iphones and so has my husband and I would have probably replaced all of our phones 5X as much as we have if we didn't have the otterboxes. My son loved the case, the mossyoak breakup made his day, and the flourescent orange, well like I said, he's 15, the brighter the better. I took it out of the box, inserted is phone into the case and I don't have to worry if my son drops his phone, I know its protected. Read more
