The media could not be loaded. This is the best product for naturally curly hair. I use generally very little (compared to other curl creams I’ve tried) because the quality is so good. It’s thick and spreads far. I comb it through wet hair and then follow up with a gel and pin curling. Once the ringlets dry, I break the cast and fluff. No frizz and no matting down. Perfect balance. It’s worth the money especially when you co suffer that so little product is needed to tame the curls and to make locks. I used to use DevaCurl, and now this is my definite go-to. Scent is pleasant too. Read more

The media could not be loaded. Ok I’ll admit it, I am a straight haired girlie (see before pic, at best 2A waves potential) who has been secretly hoping the universe has been hiding my true wavy hair my whole life (now add TikTok trying to convince me I just needed to do the right routine to unlock my wavy potential). Well, I was influenced and bought this wave cream. And I’ll say it — I’ve got cute waves! All I did was shower, run this curl crème through my hair, scrunch, add mousse, scrunch, and air dry and voila! It adds so much more dimension to my hair. It smells amazing and has zero crunch. I had to buy this Ouai cream when mine wasn't available on Amazon at a reasonable price. Its really good! Before and after pictures show results! I have always used the Mother's brand of curl cream because it works great for me... but they are as different as night and day. Ouai cream leaves hair defined, but soft, and no frizz. Very touchable. But for me, it could be because I'm 55 and post menopause hair changes, this product leaves my hair dull looking. After watching videos on "plopping" and products... I found its best to use this with a mousse applied on top of this. My mousse gives a shine. My hair slowly went from straight to wavy curls in the last 15ish years so its been a learning experience. The mother's brand dries with a "casing" which I've learned means "crunchy" but after scrunching my hair it becomes soft and has a shine without the mousse. Love my curls brand was heavy and made my hair feel like it hadnt been washed in a week. Even trying it many times and barely using product. I've tried many products and this one is the softest with defined curls. Its pretty expensive but I dont use much. Read more

This product works well and I enjoyed how my hair looked, four out of five stars, but it's so strongly perfumed that I will be giving it to a curly haired friend who has a more rosy taste than me. The fragrance is not bad and probably a lot of customers will find this to be a benefit that it's so potent, but being so close to my face and nose it bothered me; I kept waiting and hoping for it to dissipate. It should be noted that I am particularly into fragrances and colognes, and making sure each of my items smell complimentary to each other, so I don't appreciate a hair product clashing this intensely with my other scents. I prefer woody over floral, but even then it wouldn't have been an issue if it weren't for the sheer strength of the smell. Be aware that even used sparingly it may compete with your perfume. If you like powerfully floral things and have wavy or curly hair, this was made for you. Read more

I really wanted to love this curl cream, but I don’t think I have the right hair type to get the best results from it. I have thin, fine, wavy hair and was hoping this product would help define and enhance my natural waves. I applied it and used a diffuser, expecting more structure and definition, but unfortunately my hair ended up looking a bit messy rather than polished. The cream itself is very thick and rich, which I think is where the issue lies for me. It felt a little too heavy for my fine hair and seemed to weigh my waves down instead of bringing them out. I can definitely see how this texture could work really well for someone with thicker, coarser, or curlier hair that needs more moisture and hold. Even though this product wasn’t right for me personally, it was still worth trying. I usually love products from this brand, and this experience doesn’t change that. With the right hair type, I’m sure this curl cream could be fantastic, so I’m still giving it a five-star review for quality and brand consistency. Read more

I’m sensitive to smells so it was overpowering. Other than that product is ok, a bit dense but did keep my curls great the next day, has a good firmness. Read more

I love this product so much. Nothing leaves my hair softer or shinier than this, and I have very dry, damaged curly hair. It makes my hair feel healthier, more manageable, and deeply moisturized without weighing it down. Definitely a staple in my routine. It's worth every penny! But make sure to stock up on prime day or back Friday. Read more
