These smart plugs are well-designed and durable. We bought Kasa Smartplugs prior....they shorted out within 5 seconds of use. These smart plugs worked well in our crawlspace and integrated with Smartthings, too. Though they have a separate app that must be installed as host prior to Smartthings - the app enrollment process is relatively easy and worked well without asking for too much personal information than necessary. I bought the dimmer in April. It was relatively easy to set up - get the app, connect it to my WiFi and connected with Alexa. Was able to voice control led string lights attached to it. Read more
I have a half dozen for these plugs I use for various purposes. Work great for outdoor decorations such as Christmas lights, scheduling with Alexa etc. I also have 3 in my crawl space underneath the house that I can turn semi permanent lights on if need be. Works great. Read more
Very easy to use and set up using the Smart Life app, which all of my other devices are on (except for Meross, they require their own app). I got it in time for Christmas decorating and it worked great turning lights on and off. Read more
4 Oct 2021 Update: The device has been unavailable for a few days so I've tried to reset (immediately unresponsive after it was rediscovered), then deleted it and rediscovered it. Both resulted in it being unresponsive immediately after it being re-added. Disappointing No help from vendor. ==== This is prefect for my patio. One plug allows me to dim my patio lights or gradually raise them while the sun is setting, ('Ramp up' using an Alexa routine), the other provides constant power to my security camera. Heavy duty, reliable and the covers over the outlets would keep one closed when not in use. Read more
VERY EASY setup took all of five minutes, each outlet is controlled separately, you can rename and set schedule each outlet to a unique schedule. If you have multiple SmartPlugs you can create a group, very slick and simple to use and of course you can talk to Alexa, Google to turn plugs/outlets on/off. Read more
