Our 100 lb. mastiff mix is a super chewer. Every Christmas (which is also her birthday) we buy her one stuffed toy to destroy under close supervision. Otherwise, she’s not allowed to have them because we don’t need a bowel obstruction in our lives. That said, I don’t know if it’s due to maturing (she just turned 4) or this toy being especially well designed, but Mr. Avocado is the first stuffed, squeaky toy she hasn’t destroyed in the first day of having it. Though…she received a stuffed, squeaky reindeer around the same time, and immediately chewed the squeaker out of THAT toy, so I’d say it’s this toy’s smart design! More great things about this toy: • Seams are solid and well reinforced • It’s flat and somewhat firm, so it’s hard/impossible for them to get hold of the squeaker inside and chew it out • The flat design also makes it easier to grab it out of their mouths, which, if your dog likes to play keep-away instead of fetch like ours does, makes it a little easier for you to get and throw, keeping them engaged • The squeaker is satisfying to her, but not obnoxiously loud…though it was loud enough to squeak and trick her into coming inside at the end of the night when she was barking and being a turkey (hehe) • Seems like it’ll wash well, which is nice because it’s now her constant companion and she drags it outside Overall, this is a really fun toy for her. I was trying out this toy for my puppy and he absolutely loves it! I have a 60lb Great Pyrenees that loves to chew and this little toy has held up for over a month now. I especially like the fact that the layer surrounding the squeaker is super durable and thick so my dog can't shred it like those other flimsy toys I've seen. The squeak is not too shrill either so it doesn't get on my nerves when he squeaks it a lot. I also ordered the donut one and its the same quality. While the toy itself isn't very big; maybe 6 or so inches, it makes up for its size with its vibrant colors, tuff materials, and quality of play. My dog is definitely an aggressive chewer and absolutely loves these. He can get the squeaker out within a few hours, but he keeps chewing the toy until it’s absolutely shredded and it lasts about a month. This one and the avocado are excellent and well worth the money in my opinion. Read more

I bought this toy hoping that it would fare better than the million other toys my dog has destroyed within seconds. Alas, it did not. He was SUPER excited when we opened it for him on Christmas, but in less than 5 minutes, he had chewed a significant hole in the head and was systematically ripping out the plastic innards. *sigh* I really wanted this one to work and for less aggressive chewers, it might! Unfortunately, our dog is too aggressive a chewer for ANY "soft" toys no matter the "durable" claims. 4 stars for construction for it WAS well made. This little donut has held up surprisingly well to the relentless abuse my wiener dog dishes out. Where others have failed this little squeaker is still hanging in there squeaking away. It throws like a Frisbee or rolls like a coin, it doesn't mark the walls and my dog loves it. Read more

My 75lb very aggressive chewer LOVES this toy! I gave him the thing on Christmas and he has not destroyed it yet. It’s small but mighty. He goes nuts when we ask him “Where’s your waffle?”. I’m getting more. But beware, if your dog destroys fabric toys in an instant like mine does, only buy the Tough Skinz. They have a thick skin he can’t chew thru. Read more
