We've used the 12" version of the pan heavily for 2 years now. We cook on it almost every day, usually multiple times a day. I estimate that we've made well over 1000 meals with it, probably closer to 2000. It's the perfect pan from a performance perspective. Very nonstick. The sides are angled out and not too tall, just right for tossing food or flipping something in the air if you want to get sketchy. The handle is still very sturdy and the bottom is still perfectly flat. It's just the right thickness to not be too heavy, but it distributes heat very evenly and it feels premium. We never used it in the oven so no comment there. The longevity was a little dissapointing. At 1.5 years I started noticing the first tiny bubble of delamination. At 2 years it's now obvious that it needs to be replaced. We almost always hand washed it becuase it was so easy and never used metal utinsils on the pan. It may have gotten too hot once or twice but there was no immediate signs of damage from that. Longevity considered I would still probably give the pan 4 stars. But the customer service bumps it up to a 5. Within one day of emailing back and forth with the warrenty department I have a new one on the way. With how much we use the pan, if we can get another 2 years out of our purchase price, that's more than fair. I was initially hoping for at least 3 years. I'm very happy with my experience though, so I'll defineitely be looking for more OXO kitchenware in the future. Read more
Old Coot Product Reviews—October 26, 2023
I do like Oxo good grips products, and this is definitely one of their better ones. Make sure to pick up a pair of the Oxo good grips tongs to go along with this pan so you don't scratch anything. Regardless of what any label, or anyone tells you, you should still use at least a tablespoon of butter or some form of oil in the pan with every use. Another tip to keeping your pan lasting really long is to never go above medium heat. It's better to stay between medium and low for most of your cooking needs. You'll still get a good sear, you'll still get that sizzle, and your food will come out delicious. I truly use this pan for everything. I've rendered down pork belly, and then thrown boiled pasta in it to make pasta carbonara. I've done ribeye steaks in here, and also make over easy eggs almost every morning. Depending on the egg size, it can hold between 6 to 10 cooked eggs and still have nice evenly spaced yolks. Which brings me to another point, cooking for a family of four, this might be the pan for you! I've also thrown frozen vegetables in here with a quarter cup of chicken broth, and this pan will cook everything evenly. It's a great product, and a true bang for the buck. You're not going to find anything that performs as well within the same price range. Also, this has all the free things about it, BPA free, pfoa free or whatever, this thing is as 2023 conscious about health is used as possible. Read more

I had done some research, looking for a nonstick but also non-Teflon pan. This one was identified in several product reviews as highly rated. I especially liked the price and the OXO brand is pretty strong. I have many other products by them in my kitchen. I have now had it for several months and it is now my go to pan for just about anything that I’m not making a sauce with later. It heats evenly and cooks up easily. I am following the care instructions and not using spray oil, that’s not a problem, it’s just different from how I have been cooking. Eggs have been just like in any of the infomercials. They slide in and out with very little added fat. I can finally make omelettes that don’t turn into oopses as I plate them. It browns and sautées well. I can throw a bunch of ingredients in and layer flavors. I don’t get anything from the nonstick coating flavor wise. It’s still really easy to clean. I haven’t had to work at anything, no matter what I’ve cooked. The only drawback is they recommend hand washing. I’ve done that exclusively and it’s as slidey today as when I opened it up. I highly recommend this. What a great nonstick pan. Read more
