I found this brand after coming across Dr. Livingood's program on eating CLEAN protein. I detect NO bone taste- only the vanilla and choc taste/flavors. I add vanilla to my green tea and it tastes like chai. I dropped the horrible Coffemate crap. It's filling and I don't need an entire breakfast. Unless you mask this with a lot of other things you can definitely taste the savory broth. I put it i a smoothie for my kiddos with a ton of fruit, pb, and dates and it smelled and tasted beefy.
