I bought this cam for class. Since I have virtual class, and need to do video classes, I had to buy a webcam. I wasn't needing to buy any fancy ultra high definition webcam or anything like that. Just something affordable, that looked good to at least capture me well. This caught my attention as it had an already included light. It worked perfectly! The quality of the camera was really amazing, as I mentioned before, wasn't looking for something over the top. Of course the product was plug and play. Just had to go to my settings to see Eid ti worked properly, of course this is for my sake. This camera is fantastic and the pivot allows a lot of adjustability on top of the monitor. Colors were not blown out or over saturated. All resolutions are 30fps, but that should be OK for zoom or ms teams. No drivers are needed as the OS finds the camera without drivers on windows 10/11/mac. The LED light is decent and has 3 levels. The white color balance is about 5000K or 6000K which is OK and not adjustable. I love that it is a touch sensor, very easy to go through the levels CAMERA ON INDICATOR: The "TOUCH SENSOR" dimly lights up when an application is using the camera! Camera is easy to set up and works well. Picture quality is good. Cable length is adequate. The light is adjustable but all levels are cold light. Would be nice if that was also adjustable. The privacy cover is utterly useless, it obscures part of the lens an falls apart easily. This is peculiar and unexpected considering that this could be easily corrected by the manufacturer. I was hesitant at buying this camera, at first, because of the reviews, but I chose to do so anyway. Some of the complaints say that the camera doesn't work when you plug it in. Well, duh, no camera does until the software is downloaded and the window opens that actually shows video (like Zoom, skype etc)! The second complaint I seen was that the picture quality was blurry. Once the software is downloaded, there is an area that resembles an stereo equalizer where you can customize the brightness, contrast, clarity, hue, etc. to create the perfect picture that you want. This same area also controls video recording and picture capturing. There is also another software that comes with the camera for uploading and sharing. The reason I say that you must be techy is because you have to take time to read the manual that is provided to know what website to go to, to set up your camera properly. This camera has way more features than I expected, especially the video record. So far I love it! (I also think it is unfair to give low reviews when the person is the problem and not the product). The media could not be loaded. The camera quality is great for the price you’re paying for. The only thing is truly that ring of light that affects the image. People have asked if I had a vignette filter and I’ve had to explain it’s a light around the camera lens. Because of this, I end up not using the light as often even tho I need it since it tends to be dark in the room I’m in. I will again emphasize that the image quality is a lot better than the camera that comes built in my laptop. If you need something quick and cheap, this is a good option till you can upgrade. Okay I got this for if I ever go into streaming, or just to use for my desktop, I just wanted these two factors, it’s clear and captures detail on my face, and when it’s nighttime the ring light lights up my face, It does an amazing job of capturing detail on my face, sadly it picked up small pimples I had but not a very audible look on it, it wasn’t blurry I moved it around it looked pretty good, okay the only Con I would say this has is when you turn on the ring light, there is a glare on the corners of your screen/camera but I mean it’s a bright light RIGHT on the camera and it’s not a game killer, it still captures amazing detail on my face in a pitch black room with it but with the cost of a small glare in the corner, overall you CANNOT beat this price oh another con is definitely the microphone, I mean what do u really expect from a $20 webcam.
