My daughter uses these at home and when we go tubing on the river when she’s having her period. They work great. Be aware, though, that the crotch is noticeably padded with the absorbent material. It looks a little bulky there, but it’s not an issue for her because my daughter always chooses to wear swim shorts over her bathing suit bottoms in public. I still don’t understand how these work, but they work. I do wish they had a higher waist. They’re not as high as my Lands End high waist swim bottoms so they don’t look like a set with my top. But they serve their purpose and keep me swimming. Would be great for teens, and all ages. Read more

I bought this for my teenage daughter to use on our beach vacation. We didn’t know what to expect as this was our first experience with period swimwear, but it worked perfectly even on her heavy day! She was able to swim comfortably in the pool and ocean with no leaks. The bottom is a bit bulky but it was not an issue for her underneath some swim shorts. I bought these on sale and had the foresight to buy both mediums and larges. Normally, i wear medium in most things. The medium that came out of the package looked like an extra small. I didn't even attempt to try it on. The large fit, but honestly, I think an extra large would be better. Read more

I literally NEVER write an Amazon review because I'm lazy but when scouring for some period swimwear I relied on reviews and felt I should come back! Bought these for my 12 yr old daughter whose period came right before a friend meet up at a water park. She was on day 2 of her period with moderate flow and I can't explain the science behind these but they worked!!!! No leakage. I rinsed them out at the end of the day and they had definitely absorbed all day! She wore them for 6 hours straight with bathroom breaks in between. She said there was a time she sat on concrete briefly and thought there was small evidence of her period when she stood and saw the water puddle but I never saw any leaks on her towel, etc!
