Peter Thomas Roth 24K Gold Mask Pure Luxury Lift Firm

I took a chance after reading some less than thrilled reviews and I'm glad I did. There's been a nice change in how "fresh" my skin looks...which is wonderful since I don't use foundation on a regular basis. My skin looks plumper, some of the fine lines (including under my eyes) have seemed to disappear, and there's a bit of a glow that wasn't there before....not bad for a 65 year old face. I'm one of those people whose skin tends to break out easily in reaction to some products...this one doesn't do that. It doesn't cause my skin to get oily during the day. Note...since I do have issues of this type normally, I not only rinse off this mask, I cleanse my face after using (although I will admit that just rinsing seems to leave the skin clean). The recommended use is 2 - 3 times a week or as desired. I've been using it 4 - 5 mornings a week but will most likely decrease to 2 - 3 now that my skin is behaving better...to see if I can maintain this spending a bit less along the way. I've only used this a handful of times and haven't been blown away like I thought I'd be after spending 50$. The one thing I am impressed with is that it does plump my skiin. After using it the lines on my forehead look softer. My skin is soft but not super hydrated as they claim it will be. I have not experienced any firming effects. It does minimize my large pores temporarily and makes my complexion look bright. However I used my vitamin c scrub, toner, and lotion with the mask so I'm not sure how much of the radiance is actually from the mask and not my other products. I'm really surprised I don't love this mask because I have two other Peter Thomas Roth masks (pumpkin enzyme and Irish moor mud) and they're amazing. I'm wishing I would've listened to the reviews and passed on this and gotten the rose stem cell mask instead which has great reviews. However I'm hoping that with continued use I see more results. I will update this review if my opinion changes after prolonged use. I think this is a good product but isn't great. Update The more I use this the more I like it. It took using it a few times but now when I use it my complexion glows and my face feels amazing. I love how it plumps up my skin. I still do not feel that it firms like it claims it will. Surprisingly useless product from such a good brand. Did absolutely nothing, it just sits on top of the skin with an unpleasant texture. Would not use for a second time and certainly would not purchase again. Read more

Whereas the under eye strips are fantastic, this product didn't seem as effective. It's rather costly and they advise you to use a thick layer of the product. Not enough bang for my buck. It seemed to lessen my shine but not much else. The product felt nice on my skin. Read more
