I picked up this dog nail clipper with the built-in LED light hoping it would make trimming time easier — and honestly, it does! The light makes it easy to see exactly where you’re cutting, which gives me a lot more confidence and helps avoid going too short. It cuts through the nails quickly and cleanly without leaving rough edges. Now, the LED doesn’t magically stop Roxy or Bernie from acting like I’m trying to murder them — they still squirm and give me the sad eyes — but at least the job gets done faster and safer. Overall, it’s a solid tool that makes a stressful chore a bit more manageable for both me and the pups. Read more

These trimmers are elite. I usually use the regular $10 clippers I see on amazon. They do the job and they're affordable. I was hesitant to pay double the price for some trimmers that looked sort of gimmicky. However, my dog hates nail clippings so I decided to take a risk and buy these. THEY WORK SO WELL. Here's why: 1) They use a guillotine style cutter (super sharp blade). It's legitimately like cutting butter. The clipper style ones are like a scissor so the pinch your pet's nails. This can cause the nail to turn sharply before the cut, which causes pain and trauma to the dog. These clippers hold and slice the nail cleanly. You can be super precise and it's quick and painless, leading to less movement from the dog. 2) They have a magnifying glass and a light. This does actually help you see the quick if the dog has white nails, but even if your dog has black nails (like mine), you can see clearly how close you're getting to the quick through the tip of the nail you just cut. The light and magnifying glass really let you get precise (especially when paired with the super sharp blade). 3) The magnifying glass doubles as a nail catch. This means no more searching the floor for nail trimmings. Not essential, but definitely a cherry on top. I'm excited for my dog's nails to grow back so that I can cut them again! Seriously, this is a game changer. p.s. It's never too late to trim your dog's nails. If your dog's nails and quicks are super long, just trim every week little by little. The quicks will wear down as your dog walks and you can trim more and more over time. These trimmers make it ridiculously easy. Read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. DO NOT BUY THESE! THESE ARE TERRIBLE FOR KITTEN AND CAT CLAWS!!! They’d probably be more suited for dog claws. I’ve been using these for a few months and EVERY SINGLE TIME I use them, they splinter my kitten’s claws, every single claw on them and I have 2 seven month old kittens. You can see in the photo how deep it goes, I had gently tried to pull it off thinking it was just a tiny piece but it’s HUGE, it’s splintered all the way down to the ROOT of the claw. She cried out when I touched it. These clippers are NOT SAFE, and HORRIBLE! I thought perhaps it was me, so I brought it with me to my vet, the dr looked at both of my kittens claws and the clippers and immediately said it was from the clippers. She even tried using them for me and the same thing happened AGAIN! Splintering and cracking their claws which is just about as dangerous as cutting too deep! And it’s not from their diet or age as to why their nails are splitting when getting clipped either, the Dr said. I wish I could get a refund for how TERRIBLE these clippers are but it’s past the return date. The Dr said they might be better for dogs but the guillotine like cut of them is not suitable for cat claws. Bad quality, not safe, DO NOT RECOMMEND. The literal only positive thing about these was the LIGHT. Read more

I wanted this nail clipper to use on my wiggly and fearful Beagle's nails. I have tried literally half a dozen nail clippers, and no one clipper has everything, but clean cutting is a must. This clipper has a "guillotine" blade, which means it doesn't squeeze the nail as much as a bypass blade. It also doesn't make a big CLICK noise like a bypass blade, which can frighten a skittish pet. That's a win. So it DOES cut well, but the lights work only when they want to. I even replaced the batteries ($9!!!) and they are sketchy still. Also I haven't figured out how the cover magnifies the nail in a convenient way. You have to look at the nail from the side, which you can do, but then you lose track of the blade that way. I'll keep working with it to see if I like it any better. Read more

Yes yes YES I RECCOMEND THESE, especially if u have a nervous dog with paw issues & severe anxiety. The first one I bought, I could not get the light to work although it clearly had not been used before, I reported the issue and shortly received a second pair, this one had obviously been tried and returned and no, it wasn’t properly cleaned and had a bit of hair skin and nail in it. Small and hard to see BUT THE LIGHT WORKEd! So I cleaned and combined the two into one wonderfully working smooth simple doggie clippers! My poor pup wouldn’t let anyone near her feet , she was traumatized as a pup pretty badly . Her poor nails were getting so long and I couldn’t get anything to work to help her- I knew it must be painful This is the first and only pair of nail clippers I have EVER successfully used on my baby girl that didn’t terrify and add more onto her pre established traumas . It is kind of a long slow process but wow- BoOpStaR BeBe & MiZz MoMMa LoE HIGHLY RECOMMEND AND DEEM THESE FIVE STAR CLIPPERS!! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Read more

Does the job but it's a little flimsy. The clippings are captured but not necessarily secure- if you flip the tool all the clipping tumble out- not a huge deal- at least they don't go flying! Read more

These clippers are amazing, especially the light feature. It really helps you see where to cut, which makes trimming much safer and less stressful for me. They feel comfortable and easy to hold. They also cut cleanly without crushing the nail. Perfect for anyone nervous about trimming their pet’s nails at home, like me! Read more
