In late November my wife and I decided to upgrade all of the faucets in our home and we naturally went to Amazon.com, from whom we order just about anything needed for our household. After examining carefully the available faucets and of course, the cost of each, we decided on Phiestina faucets. Phiestina not only produces a fine quality product that looks superb in any bathroom, but the fixture itself is super easy to install. This is a good looking, practical faucet assemblage that is durable and once installed looks absolutely fabulous. We chose the brushed nickel faucet so that it would match the other fixtures in each bathroom. In comparing this particular faucet with the scores of other faucets carried by Amazon, we decided on this one. One thing that we liked about this fixture (aside from the exceptional price)was the fine finish and the ease in which one can easily clean around all of surfaces of the faucet; the sweep of the faucet and the smoothed, curved handles make it easy to clean around the whole fixture. This faucet is a great buy. No leaks, simple, clear instructions, and functions as advertised. I could not be happier with this faucet. The brushed nickel is great. I was a little worried about this not being a big name brand item, however it is working out great at less than half the price of the name brand faucets. I installed this bathroom faucet to replace one that was quite old and looked terrible. This faucet looks great, works perfectly, and has a pop-up drain, which I really like. The installation instructions that came with the faucet were almost worthless, but I was able to figure out how to install it using intuition and a little prior experience installing faucets. I had one major problem installing the faucet: the drain's "tailpipe" was about an inch and a half too short to connect with my existing plumbing, which necessitated a trip to Lowe's to purchase an extension for the existing J-bend trap. That was inconvenience and added an hour and a half to the total installation time. Fortunately, the part I needed was only three dollars. Had the information on the Amazon product page showed the length of the tailpipe, I would have realized that it would be too short for my existing plumbing and most likely would have purchased a different faucet. I deducted one star from my rating for having to go to Lowe's to buy a part to complete the installation. The faucet and drain assembly are good quality, but the plastic nuts to secure the faucet to the sink are junk. I elected to re-use the nuts from the old faucet, as they were much thicker and easier to thread onto the faucet stems. I really like the pop-up drain. I've never had a faucet with a pop-up drain and am very impressed with how easy it is to close and open the drain. Overall, I'm very pleased with the appearance and operation of this faucet and drain. It's not quite the high quality of a Delta or Moen faucet, but it costs a whole lot less than those big-name faucets. Read more
