Ok - Don't laugh! I'm a senior woman attempting my 1st faucet replacement. For my 1st attempt at installing the faucet. Water was leaking from the hoses - tighted the nuts. Corrected or so I thought. Then I realized that the faucet was not properly mounted on the plate. After remounting the faucet and tightening nuts, the faucet continued to leak. 3rd try - loosened nuts and removed faucet from plate to discover that the hose from the spigot was not securely tightened. Anyway, no more leaks. Not sure about quality as the faucet was very light weight compared to the faucet I was replacing. The casing around the handles and spigot does not seem to be very strdy but it does look nice. I needed a faucet with an overhang as my new sink has a wide lip from the bowl. First thing is first. I ordered a black… they sent chrome. So that aside… since I needed it because I had a leaking faucet upstairs in the guest bathroom I wasn’t going to return it. So here is how that is going…. It does feel like chrome plastic. But also maybe metal. I’m not sure how to describe it. Maybe a bit of both. Install is easy! It fits perfectly… I had a bit of problems with leaks…. And it’s my fault maybe… let me explain. So the stopper for the drain you have to make sure it is flattened as high up as you can BEFORE screwing it in. Like go around and raise and push each side after it’s already up. First go I swore I was over tightening it. And it just kept leaking. Second round I had to tighten it half as much once the stopper was even…. And I might still have the smallest leak… maybe… I’ll explain lol. All these maybes are why I knocked a star off. The quality is good for the price. It looks fine. So the tube…. Is a metal that gets cold easily and causes condensation on the outside. Like it’s 65° here today so the water is not ice. Just average cold water temp. So now the top isn’t leaking… maybe. I might have to give it a half turn if this stays this way. See if it goes away. But since you aren’t supposed to over-tighten plumbing… and to me it looks like no leaks…. I’m going to assume it is condensation when the water runs through it. I cannot feel it coming from the top but a moisture occurs like fog and goes away…. Only during cold water. Not hot. and it’s kinda concerning. My other one I just did in my main bath… different brand same type different metal… no condensation. Overall for being disappointed on the color. It fit. It worked. It took a bit of a task on the plug. But that was it. In fact I’m ecstatic to replace the old stuff with how the new ones work because the install is so easy with the push drains. And new improved tightening bolts. My old sink was 5x the hassle. And I worked in a 8” gap today. The pipes they send are labeled blue and red for hot and cold. My child loves the extending faucet which works great for when you wash your face or get something in your eye. I wear contacts and it has already saved me once on my main sink. Read more
This is just the neatest faucet. I love it. The end pulls to rinse the sink out. Matches our tub faucet, same style. Half the price of name brand. Good quality also. Read more
