Magnet is very strong and connects to my iphone through the charging case. Replaced three of these in vehicles using the older style magnet. Bought a phone holder for a car that came with one of those grab/clasp type holders. Issue was that the grippers were positioned annoyingly perfect to hit the power and volume buttons on the side of the phone (pixel 7a) while driving. The holder was a ball and joint type, so I searched and found this item. It easily installed over the standard ball joint that came with the mount without issues and held my phone better than the bulky spring grip type holder it came with. Magnets on this ring are strong and hold up my phone w/case without any issues through bumps or when doing slight adjustments to the phone. Read more

That’s has been a great update for my phone mount. The side camera button on the newest iPhone makes a side clamp mount impracticable. Switching to using the rear magnet is perfect. The replacement was so easy to do. Read more
