Incredible game. Plain, simple, and salty. Salty for the load times. Simple and broad story of adra, Eothos, and the reunion of kith to God. Plain for the plainly good mastery by obsidian baking this pie full of DLC and over 150 hours of content. Beat it after 170 hours. Amazing. Competes with the first to take the cake over supremecy in Eora. If you can take A LOT of load screens this game won't disappoint. Read more

Most of the issues people were talking about months ago have been fixed with patches. Deadfire is even better than POE1. It’s basically a refined version where Obsidian took their fans’ advice into account when constructing a sequel. Amazing story and excellent writing. Read more

Pillars of Eternity 2 Deadfire, is a good follow up to Pillars of Eternity. There is some continuity errors/retcons but the story is mostly good. Gameplay wise it improves nearly across the board. On consoles it is as glitchy if not more than the first one. Long and many load times. The combat system got revised a little so both new and veteran players will need to learn to be able to play the game well. On console you will not be able to import your save file, you will have to recreate your choices during the prologue of the game. Since there is no recap, you will need to have a fresh memory of multiple side quests. I find the ship mechanics to be vastly superior to the first game's stronghold mechanics. I do recommend this game, but it has obvious problems. I suggest getting it on PC if you are able. Read more

How can you delay the release of the consoles version of this game by a year and a half, AND AFTER IT'S RELEASE IT CAN'T EVEN GET OUT OF THE STARTING GATES BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T FIX THE LOAD-TIME PROBLEMS FROM THE FIRST GAME AND PLUS IT'S GLITCHIER THAN EVER!?!?!?????? WHAT DID THEY DO FOR A WHOLE YEAR AND A HALF???? THIS IS THE WORST PORT FROM A PC GAME EVER. This is a great game in sheep's clothing, please don't buy it unless they have fixed these problems or you will be encouraging them to keep putting out such trash for consoles. It's like buying a car that you have been coveting for a long time but when you finally get it, it didn't come with a provision for wheels; it may be the hottest looking car in the world but you aren't going to go anywhere.
