This game is worth your time and money. I have not found the load times to be an issue (I'm using an older xbox one with external seagate hard drive). The voice acting is suburb and graphics while not mind blowing, are solid. In addition, the game has great character customization and the combat is fun and easy to use (it offers turn based or continuous). I played the first Pillars, and this is a worthy continuation of a solid franchise. From a story perspective, while not essential, playing the original Pillars first adds a lot of context to some interactions in Pillars Deadfire. Read more

Its a shame that what could've been an awesome experience is literally ruined by loading screens. Just walking into a building promts an almost 2 min loading screen. Thats walking in. And another 2 minutes to walk out. It literally makes exploring tedious and boring. Exploring is literally why people play these types of games. Not to mention its kinda buggy too. I REALLY want to get into this game, but constantly waiting on loading screens always causes me to set it down and play something else. Buy this game if you have absolutely nothing else going on for the next two or three months. Unbelievable! Read more

I loved the game (even though it is buggy) and played through it twice but on my third game my saves started to disappear. The auto saves disappeared, it said it was saving new saves but they wouldn't appear and overwriting a save made that disappear. I tried re-installing, starting a new game (wouldn't save) and looking around for help online but no luck. No trouble with other games and Deadfire having so many other bugs, I'm blaming the game.
