I wasn’t planning on buying a portable AC this summer, but when the heat hit 90+ in my little one-bedroom, I caved—and I’m glad I did. This Gardencoin unit showed up fast and honestly impressed me right out of the box. Set-up took maybe 20 minutes (and most of that was me figuring out the window kit). Once it was running, the difference was instant. My place cooled down in under half an hour, and I could actually think straight again. I like that it’s not just an AC—it also works as a fan and a dehumidifier, which has been a game changer on humid mornings. The remote control is basic, but it does the job. I use the timer almost daily, especially at night. Sleep mode keeps the room cool enough without turning it into a freezer. And while the fan noise is noticeable, it’s more like white noise—not disruptive. One thing I didn’t expect: this thing looks kind of nice. Sleek and clean, doesn’t feel like an eyesore in the corner. Wheels roll easily too, which is great because I move it between my living room and bedroom. Read more

I’m so glad I ordered this portable air conditioner--it arrived quickly, just in time before a heat wave hit our area. The unit was well-packaged, and everything I needed (including the window kit) was included in the box. Setup was incredibly easy and straightforward; I was able to get it up and running in less than 10 minutes without any hassle. The cooling power is impressive. It cools our living room efficiently, and the room feels noticeably cooler within minutes. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase. If you’re looking for a reliable, easy-to-install portable AC, I highly recommend this one! Read more

Made wicked cheap, very small for a 12000 BTU, puts out NOWHERE NEAR 12000 BTU, I have another much much older 12000 BTU unit going to keep the other side of the house cool, and it has more rooms to cool than this little one, which is just to help keep the living room (250-300sq ft)cooler for my dogs..It does nowhere near what a 12000 BTU Unit does for cooling. And I've already had to empty the water holder after it's only been on MAYBE 12 hours!! So poorly made, the fins that is supposed to put the cold air wherever they are pointed, are pointing DOWN, they should be facing UP, so as the cold air is projected out and away from the unit, as it falls it should be cooling on the way down, not just cooling and pooling around the floor, the fins that sit horizontal behind the vertical fins, swing back and forth as it says, but again the vertical fins are set back too much so the horizontal fins rub on them and stick, preventing the swing action. The remote is Moot for this unit, as the actual controls are ON TOP and the remote has no access to control from a distance, you have to be RIGHT ON TOP of unit in order to utilize the remote control. I would of returned this junk, but I just have the feeling that trying to get a refund, and a full refund at that, would of been a lengthy wait, and would of had to fight for it, plus boxing it all back up, and having to deal with all that nonsense,..I chalked it up to lesson learned, and $302 less in my purse, but writing reviews everywhere, and let the Better Business Bureau, as well as Yelp! and REDDIT know of this crap product, to warn others, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY like I did!! This A/C was a great deal—especially with the coupon! Setup was super easy, even on my side-sliding window, and it came with plenty of foam to seal it up. It cools fast and works way better than my old window unit. I got the larger model for my sun-soaked room, and it handles the heat like a champ. It’s not super quiet, but nothing too distracting, especially once you’re used to it. I wouldn’t say it’s ideal for super light sleepers, but for daytime use or living areas, it’s manageable. It's not the quietest but it definitely does the job. No leaks or having to drain just yet, and I trust it's doing it's job. Humidity hasn't been so bad this year and this unit seems to be handling it well. No need to use the remote but I could see how it could be handy. Takes up minimal space while still getting the job done. Read more

Central air went out, and we found out it was going to cost us 8,000$. We had a 90 degree weekend approaching, and I have bullies that do not handle hot and humid well. I found this lifesaver and can honestly say It was worth every penny. It cools my bedroom very quickly. It is a little loud, when it's cycling on and off, but eventually you get used to it. It has a cooling option, dehumidify option, and a fan option. The air conditioner comes with a remote, which is very convenient. If you live in a humid area, you do have to make sure you drain the air conditioner every 2-3 days. I personally use a shallow baking pan (one you would bake cookies on) as a drainage pan. You want it to be no higher than 1 to1-1/2 inches. It's easy to drain. Make sure you unplug it first, set your pan under the spout, and remove the plug from the spout. If you have a window that's less than 24 inches in width, you will have to modify the plastic piece that you insert for the exhaust hose. I didn't have to do that, but I'm sure you could just use a hacksaw to shorten it. I'm a woman with not a lot of carpentry skills, and it was very easy for me to install. I did use some clear gorilla tape to make sure everything was sealed in good, and that no bugs could squeeze in. I probably didn't have to though, I just wanted to be extra cautious. I also taped around the exhaust hose to make sure it was secure and didn't come undone from pieces it's attached to. It took me 30 minutes from start to finish. Read more
