Was on the hunt for a reliable air conditioner for a sunny bedroom that tends to heat up during the day, but I didn’t want to spend over $400 like most of the similar models on the market. When I came across this GRIDR portable AC, I figured I’d give it a try, and I’m really glad I did. This one performs just as well for a much more reasonable price. It cools the sunny room which is about 300 sq. ft. room quickly, even when the afternoon sun is blazing. Within 10–15 minutes, the room is noticeably cooler and comfortable. I had the entire window exhaust connection set up in less than 5 minutes. The hose and window kit fit well and felt secure, and I appreciated that I didn’t have to fight with the parts to get everything in place. Definitely beginner-friendly. I’ve seen many people mention noise for portable ACs, but honestly, I don’t find it to be an issue at all. Yes, it makes some sound, but that’s expected with any AC unit especially for sunny room, however, the Sleep Mode is noticeably quieter as you could notice the difference in part of the video. The 24-hour timer is convenient. Also, the AC is multi-functional (cooling, dehumidifier, fan) gives some flexibility depending on what I need—sometimes I just use the fan or dehumidifier when it’s not too hot, and it still keeps the room comfortable. I received it a while ago. Today I finally had the time to turn it on and use it. The overall size and shape are very good. Not too big and not too small. It has wheels underneath. I can easily move it to any room I want. I can choose to connect it next to the window or not. It also comes with a remote control. Or you can directly press the button on the body to control it.
