I got this on a Prime Day sale and I am so happy I did. There are just a few days each year that are a bit too hot where I live. This little unit was soo easy to set up and has very simple controls. Just high and low for the fan, cool_Dehumidify_FanOnly, swing, timer, Temperature setting, and a power button. Everything you would want and no junk. Small and efficient so easy on the pocketbook to run. Read more
We purchased for our work shop on prime day this year. Temps in 90s most every. It's a small shop 14x16 with metal roof. Takes awhile to cool it down but if we set the timer to come on in the morning before it gets hot it's perfect. Read more
I was excited that our new ac came two days ahead of schedule. Pretty easy to set up. Getting the vent tube installed was a pain, but that’s usually how they all are. Day 1 worked great. Cold air, good movement of air. Day 2 nothing, would not turn on at all. Tried a different outlet, reset the fuse, nothing helped. We live pretty far from stuff, returning this is going to be a pain :( Read more
The SXYCMY 8000 BTU portable air conditioner performs better than expected for its size and price range. While 8000 BTU isn’t meant for large living rooms, it cools bedrooms, offices, and small studio spaces effectively. Once turned on, the cooling effect becomes noticeable within minutes. The airflow settings offer good flexibility, and the lower fan speeds are quiet enough for nighttime use. It’s not silent, but the sound level is reasonable for a portable AC. The 3-in-1 functionality is a real advantage. The cooling, dehumidifying, and fan modes make it versatile for changing weather. The dehumidifier mode works particularly well on humid days, making the room feel more comfortable even without full cooling. Highlights: -Strong cooling performance for small to medium rooms -Useful 3-in-1 operation: cooling, dehumidifying, and fan -Easy-to-use remote control with clear settings -Compact, portable design that’s easy to move around -Includes a window kit for simple installation There are a few limitations. The compressor noise is noticeable in a quiet room, and the exhaust hose can radiate some heat, slightly reducing cooling efficiency depending on placement. For large spaces, the 8000 BTU output may feel insufficient. Still, considering its features and performance, this unit offers very good value. It’s ideal as a supplemental cooler or a primary solution for smaller rooms. Read more
So far so good. I got the unit plugged in and it's nice and cool. The only complicated part was figuring out a solution for the window. The piece that comes in the install kit is too long for my window. But I created a temporary solution and will put something more permanent in soon. If there are any updates as I continue to use this unit (for better or worse) I will update here. But I like what I am feeling: cold air! Read more

Very low output ac for a very low price. Just enough power for a 300ft apartment, with some struggles as temps get above 85F (though that's at 8,500ft). Lots of nice extras like a fan with 2 speeds and oscillation. Also easy to install with little extra effort or tools. All in all, a great deal Read more
I live in Los Angeles and my room has been holding in all of the heat. Fans weren't enough. It would be 80° INSIDE. Got this and can easily get it down to a comfy 65°. It's so nice to not be disgustingly sweaty. Edit: A year later, using it for Summer again. Does not cool the room like it did last year. Not sure what happened. Read more
