Not the answer for a room without central air
This unit does a fair job of cooling a small room but often makes a loud dripping sound. Though the fan itself, off cooling mode, is not very loud. It also introduces tons of moisture into the air. When I run it overnight in my bedroom (no central air) I wake up to noticeably moist air because this thing just dumps gallons of water through a fan overnight so be ready to fill it often too. Leaking fan
I used it for two weeks as a regular fan. But I had filled the tank halfway in case I needed the cooler. Two days ago, I found the bedroom smelling weird. Turns out the water was leaking on the rug. I had to drain the water. I did not use the water for the fan. So, I do not know why it leaked. Waste of money. Never again. Read more
