We bought this gadget the day after we needed a battery jump in the market parking lot. As we raised the hood and wrestled with our nasty 50-year-old jumper cables, a young man approached and asked the obvious. "One moment," he said, and returned a minute later with a kit, the size of a large can of sardines. And with facility only of one so young, he clipped and ported and gave the "try her now, ma'am." It started in a nano-second. We were stunned, a wave, and he was gone, a subtle smile on his face. We drive a vintage car and need to be prepared for all eventualities in remote areas. This is a miracle I think. Read more

Received this item, and it appeared to be used. The item came in the case, but was not in a box as if it was new. I have made several attempts to try to charge the device, however, no matter how long I leave it on the charge it does not charge the device enough for me to turn it on the plug that came with the device was getting very hot. I’m not pleased with this product. It was made of a cheap plastic. I’d rather spend more money and get one that’s really good. I can’t return this item and document that it was defective, because it only gives me the option to say I ordered the wrong item or the item is not useful. Read more

Starts my van without struggle, lots of cranking amps...beware of the fact that the cable connection is really hard to connect, takes a lot of jiggling and wiggling to get it connected properly, then its hard to get out...also, it doesn't hold a charge very long, even when off and not being used it drains, if you buy this you better plan on charging it every month, whether you use it or not, and it takes a very long time to charge, several hours...but for the price and the fact that it does work its ok...what do you expect for $50??? The media could not be loaded. Update: Today it happened. I came out to my car and found it dead. Completely and utterly dead. I didn't have to call anyone or wait for help. I just pulled this out and it got me going. It really saved the day! Worked perfectly. Exactly as described. Now I want to keep one in my vehicle always. Original review: I have not had to try to jump start a car yet. As soon as I do, I'll update this. But the rest of the unit so far is adequate. The unit came nearly empty of charge. I had to leave it plugged in overnight for it to charge fully. While charging the blue indicator light was blinking and when full all the lights stayed on. I tested it out charging my phone and that went well. An increase of one percent in about a minute seems pretty standard and that's what I experienced with this. I really like how versatile this is. It even has an adapter for a unit that only charges by plugging into the car. I could use that with an air mattress pump that is designed to plug into the car. Now I can use that same air mattress pump in the house or in a tent. There are connectors for USB, USB-C, and Apple. It looks like you can charge two devices at the same time as there are two charging ports available. The flashlight is not super bright but it is adequate. My first use for this is not as a flashlight so it's nice to just have that as a backup. As my video shows, the "SOS" setting has a glitch. It is supposed to be ... --- ... But there are four dashes in the middle. I have yet to hear of anyone attempting to use an SOS setting on their flashlight in an emergency situation. Most people just find all the extra blinking settings annoying. So I'm not taking any stars off for that programming error. It's funnier to me than anything else. I will not be relying on this unit to signal for help. The case it came in is nice and has a hard shell. The zipper works well and the sections inside keep all the components in place. The only problem I forsee myself having is forgetting to slide the tiny switch on the side into the "on" position. When it is off nothing works and I might think the battery is dead instead of remembering to move that switch. It isn't very noticeable. But that's probably not an issue most people will have. I do wish the instructions were more detailed, but they are sufficient. I like that the unit is pretty self explanatory. It is a great emergency item to have to safely get out of an emergency situation. I would want every woman to have one of these in their vehicle so they don't have to rely on a stranger for a jump.
