I have an automotive background. I've had to have AAA jump start my SUV but when the battery was dead at very low voltage (if any!) and it took a few minutes for the jump to charge the battery enough that the starter would work. It jump starts my SUV and other vehicles instantly very easily if the voltage is not too low. Otherwise you have to wait a while and try again. It's the way lead-acid batteries in autos work. it does work kind just not as well as I hoped. the flashlight is cool and works but it does fast and it said could be stored in car not used and used when needed I had a starter issue that killed my battery and tried to use it to jump the car. it can only be used for a turn of the key then have to wait as it auto shuts off instead of staying on and giving the battery a charge. it does quick and I had to buy a battery charger to charge the battery before it gave enough juice for a jump. then it sat for a week after fully charged I tried to use the light and it was on 1 bar of energy left and died in less than a minute. I plugged the cables in to use it for the first time and then I could never get the cables out again. I finally pulled them out with the players. I had to order a replacement set of cables because the product is so cheap and rickety- AND THIS IS ALL BEFORE I'VE EVEN USED IT. Read more
