I've had four lumber surgeries for severe DDD. I need a fifth surgery, which I am procrastinating on. I have several lumbar braces from DME companies through my neurosurgeon's office, which I was fitted for. I wore them for a couple of months during post-op recovery as I was directed, but they are so uncomfortable, bulky, and too rigid to wear on a regular basis. So of course, I don't wear them often. I had back surgery several years ago but I am still cautious when lifting heavy things.
