The Laser Light Robot is now second most amazing cat toy. This is the most AMAZING cat toy ever. I am saying she played for hours. It actually made her more lively, and happy. She couldn't stay away from it. It brings out the instinks of a cat & the playfullness. Like seeing a bird, or a mouse, or especially a chipmunk, they absoulutly have to have it, have to try to get it, completely mezmorize by it. We got this as one of many holiday gifts for our cats since we're crazy cat people. Best cat toy EVER!! I have spoiled cats and am always on the hunt for toys to keep them acrive and entertained since we live in Alaska and they're indoor only. This toy is awesome!! The second we turn it on, they come RUNNING to play! The media could not be loaded. EDIT: After a few days of having the toy, I am editing my review. My cat has played with it each night; and everyday, he seems more interested. He is engaged, pouncing, and “hunting.” The toy seems to be stimulating. After laying out a few days, the wrinkles seem to have laid out *a little*. It seems to hold a charge decently too. I haven’t charged it in 5 days and he’s played with it nightly. The standby mode works well. He just pounces it, and it operates again. Once he’s done playing, he goes and lays down. Mission accomplished. I raised my rating to 4 stars because it does what it said it’d do. Knocking a star still because of first impressions and no instructions. Based on the outstanding reviews, I bought this toy for my highly active orange boy. To say we are both underwhelmed is an understatement. Out of the shipping box, the packaging appeared to have been opened and worn. I unboxed the toy and it was like to was just shoved in there (so I guess I got somebody’s return???) Unlike other reviewers, I did not receive paper instructions. Only a charge cord and replacement attachment. It seems like the toy material is so wrinkled from being shoved (back?) into the box, that it doesn’t spin well. It seems like it just gets caught frequently. I also had to charge it immediately before use (proof it was used??) It doesn’t move rapidly, like other videos show. It isn’t motion sensored, but does respond to touch to power back on. Orange boy just seems to stare at it. He isn’t really roused by it or wants to pounce (and he is a true mouser!! Catches them live!) In conclusion, the functionality is underwhelming and his activity level is next to none. The tail of the toy seems to just get caught in the wrinkled material more than it pops out. The media could not be loaded. Great entertainment for my bored cats. My cats are bored a lot. This is one of the best toys I have purchased for them. It's automatic if you want it to be. It is chargeable and very simple. It comes with a USP port and cable. Takes a couple hours or less to charge. Depending on how often you charge it. Stays charged for a week or more more fully charged. It has 3 different settings. So it depends on which setting you choose. I have so many toys for them. This is one they go to almost daily or at the least every other day. They play a lot at night so I hear it. It can be kind of loud intermittently like a mouse sound but nothing to bad. It can also be turned off if you want complete silence. But then they can't play with it... I do recommend this for stimulating fun. They love it. I bought a second one I put right next to it. They jump back and forth playing with them. It is big enough for all 3 cats but they have to sit on each side. I found that purchasing a second one made it possible for them to lay on it or jump on it without the other cat interfering. They usually play together jumping back and forth. It comes with 2 little fluffy string or attachments, I'm not sure what to call them. But, once one wears out you have a spare. I have not had to use my spare yet. I'm going on 7 months now and it's holding up strong. I thought the value for the money at the time was completely worth it. There are sales and different prices for pet item that constantly change.
